In Portugal, on the Atlantic coast, about twenty kilometers from Lisbon, is the city of Sintra, "Cultural Landscape" classified in 1995 by UNESCO World Heritage of Humanity. Not far from the historic center of the city, the Monserrate Palace and its park bring to this remarkable ensemble the beauty of a home of inspiration at once gothic, Indian and Moorish, hidden in the heart of a sumptuous park. This dream of stone and trees was acquired by a wealthy English textile manufacturer during the second half of the 19th century. Species brought from the four corners of the earth enjoy the mild climate. Grouped according to their origins, they make this area a haven of peace incomparable.
